MT/WY trip summer 2016

Aaron and I decided to squeeze in one last trip before my school starts...hard to believe summer is done! We drove to Billings after Aaron's work last Friday, stayed the night there, and then drove to Red Lodge to meet up with my step-sister and family. We ate at a "crunchy" cafe for breakfast (I learned what "crunchy" means - thanks Chelsey!) and Aaron got a lap full of water, thanks to Bridger's overzealous attempts to grab his bottle! Red Lodge is a cool, little touristy place, though. A lot of cool shops and many coffee shops.
We then drove the Beartooth Pass. This is something that I have wanted to do ever since my eldest sister and brother-in-law went on their honeymoon there. I did start feeling a little woozy from the hairpin turns up the pass, but the views at the top were worth it. Although a bit chilly, the 50 degree air felt refreshing. Not to forget the wonderful mountain smell...!
We then went and saw the old ghost town/mining town of Kirwin up in the Beartooth Mountains. We had been there last summer, but I love it up there. I always find it so interesting.
And that completes my summer! (Besides a quick camping trip in Theodore Roosevelt Nat'l Park today with my old roommate.) 2016-2017 classroom reveal pictures coming soon!
